JAKARTA. As of June 2019, PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC) has spent US$ 7.73 million for exploration activities at three exploration wells.
In the disclosure of information on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, MEDC stated that the exploration in June was done at Cempaka 1, Nowera 1, and Flamboyan 1 wells. The three wells are in the South Sumatra Block. The company's Board of Directors explained that drilling in Cempaka 1 and Nowera 1 had been carried out, while Flamboyan 1 well was still in the cleaning stage.
Of the three blocks explored in June, only 1 block produced gas, Nowera 1. "The status of the well was suspended," explained MEDC.
The current status of the Cempaka 1 well is Plug & Abandon. This month, MEDC will continue the process of cleaning road access and locations in the Flamboyan 1. (KR/AR)
