Travelstop obtains US$ 3 million funding from Accel

JAKARTA. Travelstop, a startup that provides business travel concepts and management of travel expense reports, just obtained US$ 3 million in Pre-Series A funding led by a venture company from Silicon Valley, Accel.

Prashant Kirtane, CEO of Travelstop, said that GREE Ventures, currently called Strive, is also involved in the funding together with Accel. The funding was obtained 10 months after the launch of Travelstop. When launched, Travelstop also obtained US$ 1.2 million in funding led by SeedPlus. "We are very pleased to welcome Accel and Strive to join us," Kirtane said.

After obtaining US$ 3 million in funding from Accel, Travelstop will accelerate the adoption of AI (artificial intelligence) technology on Travelstop's service platform for the Asian region. Through the acceleration of AI adoption, users will get travel solutions that suit their preferences. "Travelstop is on a mission to redefine business travel and has been adopted by a number of fast-growing companies in Asia," Kirtane explained.

Travelstop also welcomed Prakash Prashant from Accel on the company's board of directors, after receiving the funding. (KR/AR)
