JAKARTA - Management of PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) in the first semester of 2019 has realized half of the 800 new outlets targeted to open this year.
Solihin, AMRT Corporate Affair Director explained that the company continues to spur new store expansion. However, the opening will be done selectively, so that the outlets have good performance and make a positive contribution to the company's performance.
He said the growth of 800 new outlets could not immediately be added to the portion of existing outlets. Because, in addition to opening outlets, the company also reviews the performance of outlets that will expire. So that the potential for closure of outlets this year can also occur.
"For example, if we open 800 outlets this year, there are also 150 outlets which are not automatically added to the last number of outlets," he said as quoted by KONTAN, Thursday (18/7).
The company is optimistic that the business will tend to improve. Moreover, the general election has been completed and the political climate has stabilized again, hopefully this will also have an impact on his business. This year, management targets sales growth at 10%. (AM/LM)
