23 July 2019 13:03

JAKARTA - PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (MTDL) booked a net profit increase of 32.3% year on year (yoy) to Rp 152.52 billion in the first semester of 2019. The profit growth was driven by the company’s business segment and product diversification.

“Not only are our products diversified, but also our business segments. In the event of changes in business segments or product preferences, Metrodata remains growing due to spread risks. That’s what sets us apart from our competitors,” said MTDL CEO Susanto Djaja in a press release received by IDNFinancials.com, Tuesday (23/7).

The company’s first semester profit increase was also accompanied by sales growth of 13.7% yoy to Rp 6.16 trillion. The Distribution business unit managed by PT Synnex Metrodata Indonesia (SMI) was the biggest contributor, followed by the Metrodata Solution business unit managed by PT Mitra Integrasi Informatika (MII).

According to MTDL CFO Randy Kartadinata, the company’s first semester financial performance was in line with this year’s target. Thus, the company is confident it can achieve the targeted sales growth of 12% and net profit growth of 12.5%.

“All of these achievements can be achieved through the adequate diversification of business segments and the efforts of each of Metrodata's business units in supporting customers and partners in carrying out digital transformation. Metrodata also benefits from diversifying its products so that it can balance future growth,” Mr Kartadinata concluded. (MS)
