Citibank Indonesia recorded a net profit of Rp 1.6 trillion in 1H 2019

Jakarta - Citibank N.A., Indonesia (Citibank) managed to record a net profit of Rp 1.6 trillion in the first half of 2019, 97% higher than its record from the same period of last year (Rp 835 billion).

Chief Executive Officer of Citibank N.A., Indonesia, Batara Sianturi, said that this kind of performance was the result of the company's commitment to provide the best for its clients. "We create economic value and take responsibility systemically in our risk management framework," he said on Wednesday (07/08/2019).

Batara explained that net profit growth contributed to an increase in Return on Equity (ROE) to 20.14%, higher than 10.31% recorded in the first semester of 2018 and Return on Assets (ROA) to 4.97% (from 2.88%). 

Meanwhile, the bank's capital ratio and asset quality are well maintained with a Minimum Capital Requirement (KPMM) of 24.56% and a Gross and Net Non-Performing Loan ratio of 2.29% and 0.44% respectively. In addition, Citibank also maintained a solid lending-to-funding (RIM) ratio of 79.2%. (ARM/AR)
