JAKARTA - PT Bekasi Asri Pemula Tbk (BAPA), a real estate company, generated Rp 19.35 billion in revenue in the first half (1H) of 2019, higher than its record in the same period of last year of Rp 17.46 billion. This was followed by an increase in the company's profit for the period, from Rp 3.77 billion to Rp 6.24 billion.
Based on the company's financial statements, BAPA recorded a gross profit of Rp 11.24 billion (down from Rp 12.16 billion in 1H 2018). This was caused by the increase in the cost of goods sold, from Rp 5.29 billion to Rp 8.10 billion. The company's operating income was recorded at Rp 5.98 billion, up from Rp 4.88 billion.
The biggest contributor to the company's revenue in 1H 2019 was real estate (Rp 18.78 billion), followed by rental and management services (Rp 566 million). In the same period last year, real estate contributed Rp 17.31 billion, while rental and management services contributed Rp. 146 million. (LK/AR)
