JAKARTA. Commission VI of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) rejected the additional budget proposed by BKPM and only agreed to provide a budget ceiling of Rp 585,471,934,000 for 2020.
Chairman of the Commission VI, Teguh Juwarno, said that he regrets that he cannot provide the additional budget, although it was known that BKPM needed the additional budget to provide business licenses through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system.
"To succeed OSS and various other activities, for that BKPM proposes an additional budget of Rp 205 billion. But we know in the midst of an economic slowdown, it is difficult to find that," he said in the Meeting Room of Commission VI, DPR RI on Wednesday (11/09/2019).
He understands the needs of BKPM. At present, BKPM can only hope that in 2020, there will be a Revised State Budget (APBN-P).
Meanwhile, the agreed budget is divided into two posts. First, for the management support program and other BKPM tasks (Rp 298,059,102,000). Secondly, the program to increase the competitiveness of investment (Rp. 287,412,832,000).
The agreement will then be submitted to the Budget Agency (Banggar) of the DPR RI as the final material for the decision. (AM/AR)
