JAKARTA - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) received a US$ 129 million in loan facility from PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) to finance loans that will mature in 2024.

As quoted from the disclosure of company information, Arie Prabowo Ariotedjo, President Director of PT Antam Tbk said the loan facility is to support efficiency because it uses floating interest rates that are more competitive than previous loans. "We always maintain the company's financial strength through business innovation to increase revenue," he said.

According to him, this financing loan will ensure the company's ability to support business expansion and development in the downstream sector of the gold and bauxite industry. In addition, this facility is used to reduce the company's financial burden.

Currently, Antam is developing downstream industrial projects including the development of East Halmahera ferronickel plant in North Maluku with a capacity of 13,500 tons of nickel in ferronickel and Smelter Grade Alumina Refinery (SGAR) plant in Menpawah, West Kalimantan. (LK)
