JAKARTA. A total of 514 business players expressed their interest in investing in the plantation subsectors, with a total investment value of Rp 313 trillion.
Overall, 1,636 companies both foreign and domestic.are interested in investing in the agricultural sector in 2020, with a total investment value of Rp 426.2 trillion.
Director-General of Plantations at the Ministry of Agriculture, Kasdi Subagyono, said that oil palm is still the one that attract the most interest (70%), followed by sugarcane (26%), tea (1%), and others (3%).
Interest in the development of palm oil commodities is followed by sugarcane by 26%, investment in tea commodities by 1%, and the remaining 3% in other commodities. (AM/AR)
