Grab launches GrabWheels at Ganesha Campus, ITB

JAKARTA - Through collaboration with the Institute of Research and Entrepreneurship (LPIK) ITB, Grab now expand GrabWheels as an environmentally friendly mode of transportation to ITB, Ganesha campus, Bandung.

The inauguration of GrabWheels at ITB campus environment, is part of a strategic collaboration between Grab and ITB in terms of research, development and utilization of electric-based transportation vehicles. The collaboration between ITB and Grab was signed today, Tuesday (1/10), in the West Hall of ITB, Bandung.

Ongki Kurniawan, Executive Director, Grab Indonesia explained, "After being present in several locations in Jabodetabek, we are very happy to be able to bring GrabWheels to the city of Bandung, precisely at the ITB Campus as the first location for GrabWheels. As part of our ongoing collaboration with ITB, we hope that GrabWheels can answer the needs of all academicians for fun, practical and environmentally friendly short-distance transportation options. Grab is committed to being able to provide solutions for the wider Indonesian community and GrabWheels' presence at ITB, become our first step towards realizing that commitment."

In addition to placing GrabWheels in the ITB, strategic cooperation with ITB also includes research and development of electric-based transportation modes. This includes the creation and development of prototypes, the development of spare parts, research and joint scientific publications on the results of research and development carried out during the period of the cooperation.
