JAKARTA - PT Timah Tbk (TINS) reduced its monthly tin production, following the weakening of tin prices in the world market. At the beginning of the second half of this year, the company also reduced tin exports by around 1,000 metric tons per month.
As quoted from the press release, Riza Pahlevi, President Director of PT Timah Tbk (TINS) said that the company released a new policy to reduce operating costs, following the low price of tin in the world market.
According to him, the company reduced its production by stopping the operation of its dredges and reduce land mining shift from three to one.
"Our seven cutter suction dredges are currently on hold, and they don't carry out mining operations, including land mines, we have reduced the operation shifts," he said. (LK/AR)
