JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) synergizes with a number of stakeholders in the financial services industry to achieve the financial inclusion target of 75% by the end of this year. To achieve the target, OJK has cooperated with Bank Indonesia and related ministries/institutions to hold Financial Inclusion Month (BIK) on October 2019 in a number of regions.

As cited from the press release, Member of the OJK's Board of Commissioners in charge of Consumer Education and ProtectionTirta Segara, said that BIK is expected to increase public understanding of financial products and services. This activity is also expected to speed up the addition of accounts and the use of financial products and services.

The BIK program is a campaign related to financial inclusion and various financial products/services with various incentives such as discounts, bonuses, rewards, cashback and special promos in October 2019.

"In supporting the achievement of financial inclusion target, active collaboration between regulators and PUJK is urgently needed. This is important, to support each other in increasing financial literacy and encouraging people to use financial products and services," he said. (LK/AR)
