17 October 2019 11:36

JAKARTA - Alodokter has raised US$ 33 million in a Series C funding round led by Sequis Life, bringing its total funding to US$ 45 million. Other investors participating in the round include Dayli Partners, Golden Gate Ventures, Heritas Capital, and SoftBank Ventures Asia.

The startup said it will use the fresh funds to expand its network of partner hospitals and grow its health insurance services, which were launched in 2018.

The services allow policyholders to pay and claim directly through the Alodokter app with access to premium services such as unlimited online consultations and premium access to hospitals.

“Indonesia is becoming one of the first digitally native medical systems in the world. That’s been one of the key factors for the hypergrowth we have been experiencing since our launch,” said Alodokter CEO Nathanael Faibis as quoted by DealStreet Asia, Wednesday (16/10). (MS)
