JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) CEO Desi Arryani in relation to the alleged use of fictitious contractors in 14 projects handled by PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT).

“She has been summoned as a witness for suspect FR (former Head of Waskita Karya’s Division II Fathor Rachman),” acting Head of KPK’s Public Relations Bureau Yuyuk Andriati Iskak said as quoted by Bisnis.com, Monday (28/10), adding that in this matter Ms Arryani will be interrogated in her capacity as Head of Waskita Karya’s Division III.

Aside from Ms Arryani, KPK investigators have also summoned Waskita Karya employee Imam Bukhori and PT Mer Engineering Ari Prasodo. Both men, said Ms Iskak, will also be interrogated as witnesses for Mr Rachman.

As reported by Bisnis.com, in February this year KPK raided Ms Arryani’s residence in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta and confiscated a number of documents relevant to the case. Currently KPK investigators are studying the contract payment made to the fictitious subcontractors in 14 projects handled by Waskita Karya through witness statements.

According to KPK and the Audit Board’s temporary calculation, the state has suffered losses amounting to at least Rp 186 billion in this case. In addition to Mr Rachman, former Head of Financial Risk of Waskita Karya’s Division II Yuly Ariandi Siregar has also been named as a suspect by KPK. (MS)
