CLAY posted a loss in Q3 2019

JAKARTA - In nine months after its first debut on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), PT Ciputra Putra Realty Tbk (CLAY) recorded revenues of Rp 137.46 billion compared to the third quarter of 2018. This decline in revenue came from all business segments, such as rooms, food and drinks, and other departments.

As quoted from the Quarterly Financial Statements for the third quarter of 2019, the room rental segment contributed revenue of Rp 94.99 billion, down from Rp 97.18 billion, the food and beverage (F&B) segment of Rp 39.62 billion, down from Rp 42.50 billion, and other departments amounting to Rp 2.84 billion, up from Rp 2.68 billion.

Gross profit still decreased to Rp. 61.64 billion from Rp. 63.32 billion, even though CLAY management pressed the cost of goods to Rp. 75.82 billion from Rp. 79.04 billion. Operating losses were recorded at Rp 11.93 billion, up from profit business of Rp. 803 million. Comprehensive losses for the year rose to Rp 21.98 billion from Rp 15.74 billion.

In its debut on the IDX on January 18, 2019, CLAY reaped fresh funds worth Rp 93.60 billion by offering 520 million shares at Rp 180 per share. (LK)
