09 December 2019 14:14

JAKARTA - The government hopes that the House of Representatives (DPR) will ratify the Omnibus Law no later than the first quarter of 2020. One of the points in the law stated that strata title properties can be owned by foreigners.

This was conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, in his remarks on the groundbreaking of the Islamic Financial Center in Pantai Indah Kapuk, Jakarta, yesterday.

According to him, the development of the Islamic Financial Center project is in line with the government's goal to bring in investments.

"Later on the 18th (December, red) the government will submit corrections and adjustments to the Omnibus Law to the DPR, and within the next two or three months, it will be passed. According to the law, strata title properties can be used by foreigners. "Then property prices in Indonesia will be booming," he said. (LK/AR)
