JAKARTA - Samsung Group’s VC arm Samsung Ventures has joined Travelio’s Series B funding round.
According to Travelio, Samsung’s investment would enhance the property technology startup’s business target in 2020 through deeper integration and collaboration with Samsung’s network and ecosystem.
“We are very fortunate to have Samsung as the latest addition to our shareholders. Their track record and expertise will help to gear us up to be a globally recognised and reputable firm,” said Travelio CEO and co-founder Hendry Rusli as quoted by DealStreet Asia, Thursday (12/12).
Previously Travelio secured US$ 18 million in the Series B round, co-led by Pavilion Capital and Gobi Partners. The latest investment is the second for Samsung Ventures in Indonesia, having previously invested in Gojek last year. (MS)
