Mandiri Syariah will distribute Rp 1.5 trillion of funding to Muhammadiyah

JAKARTA. PT Bank Syariah Mandiri or Mandiri Syariah, a subsidiary of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), has signed an agreement to distribute Rp 1.5 trillion of funding to Muhammadiyah. 

Toni EB Subari, Director of Mandiri Syariah, said that the funding would be used to develop 80 Muhammadiyah Charitable Enterprises (AUM) units. In detail, as many as 39 AUM engaged in education services, 40 AUM in health services, and 1 AUM engaged in another sector.

"Through the signing of the MoU today, we will provide additional funding of Rp 500 billion so that the total funding provided will be Rp 1.5 trillion," Subari explained through an official statement on Monday (16/12) today.

Cooperation between Mandiri Syariah and Muhammadiyah also includes cash management services. In addition, the two parties also work together in utilizing the products of institutional savings, current accounts, and deposits, which are in accordance with sharia principles. (KR/AR)
