JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya Tbk (WIKA) continues to expand its business to the African continent by adding a portfolio in Tanzania. On Tuesday (17/12), Wijaya Karya signed a framework agreement for a number of industrial and infrastructure projects in Tanzania with a value of more than US$ 50 million.
"Indonesia is ready to share experiences and technology transfer in cooperation with Tanzania to increase value addition to raw materials from Tanzania so that they are not exported in the form of raw commodities alone," explained the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut B. Panjaitan in his remarks.
A similar framework agreement was also made with Tanzania's Commonwealth Investment Company Limited (CICL) for planning the construction of a 5-star hotel in Dodoma, Tanzania's new capital of US$ 33 million. (LM)
