Matahari has bought 3% of its shares back

JAKARTA. PT Matahari Department Store Tbk (LPPF) has bought back as many as 87.52 million of its own shares, or 3% of its issued and paid-up capital. At a price of Rp 4,234.64 per share, LPPF has spent Rp 371.26 billion for the buyback.

Company Secretary and Legal Director of PT Matahari Department Store Tbk, Miranti Hadisusilo explained that the company initially received permission from its shareholders to repurchase a maximum of 87.54 million shares with a maximum price of Rp 13,330 per share.

"The remaining funds is Rp 201.62 billion," Miranti said in a disclosure on Wednesday (22/1).

The buyback period has lasted from 27 December 2019 to 21 January 2020. During this period, the average price of LPPF shares moved at the level of Rp 4,180. Its highest price was Rp 4,280 on 14 January - 16 January 2020, while its lowest was Rp 4,040 in January 2020. (AM/AR)
