MIND ID prepares a CapEx budget of Rp 25 trillion

JAKARTA. Mining holding company, MIND ID has prepared a capital expenditure (CapEx) budget of Rp 24 trillion-Rp 25 trillion for 2020, which will be used for the company's projects. 

"In terms of our work program plan, we need to spend Rp 24 trillion-Rp2 5 trillion because most of our expenditure is in US dollars," said President Director of Mining Industry Indonesia (MIND ID) Orias Petrus Moedak at the House of Representatives building on Wednesday (22/1).

He gave more detail about those projects. First, the construction of Grade Alumina Refinery smelter in Mempawah, which requires an investment of US$ 900 million. Second, the upgrade of Inalum's pot technology in Kuala Tanjung, North Sumatra, which requires an investment of US$ 107.7 million.

Third, the construction of mine-mouth Steam Power Plant (PLTU) in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra (US$ 1.68 billion). Fourth, the ferronickel plant in Tanjung Buli, East Halmahera (US $ 289 million), Fifth, the construction of the Ausmelt tin smelter in Muntok, West Bangka (US$ 80 million) and finally, the development of Freeport Indonesia's copper smelter in Gresik, East Java (US$ 3 billion).

MIND ID is the holding of several mining companies, consisting of PT Inalum (Persero), PT Aneka Tambang Tbk, PT Bukit Asam Tbk, PT Freeport Indonesia, and PT Timah Tbk. (AM/AR)
