Grab and Hyundai launch Grabcar Elektrik

JAKARTA - Today (1/27), Grab launched the first GrabCar Electrik powered by Hyundai in Indonesia as well as various other latest GrabCar features.

Hyundai IONIQ EV is ready to operate as GrabCar Elektrik with a starting point at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. The launch of GrabCar Electrik powered by Hyundai is part of the Grab’s #LangkahHijau campaign which supports the use of electric vehicles as a solution to reduce air pollution.

Ridzki Kramadibrata, President of Grab Indonesia also added, "After launching the EV Grab Ecosystem Roadmap last year, we are very happy today to launch the first GrabCar Electrik Powered by Hyundai in Indonesia. GrabCar Electrik is a tangible form of our commitment to support the EV ecosystem in Indonesia which we have conveyed when we obtained an investment of USD 2 billion from SoftBank last year. Going forward, we want to be one of the drivers who initiate collaborative collaboration to bring transportation solutions that are more efficient and environmentally friendly and build closer partnerships with Hyundai. 

With the commitment of the two companies, Hyundai IONIQ Electric vehicle, GrabCar Electrik runs in line with the vision of the Indonesian Government in improving and maintaining the EV car industry. Hyundai IONIQ Electric will be exhibited at the Arrival Terminal of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, near Gate 2 for the next three months, from January 27 to April 27, 2020, so that people passing through the location see the first appearance of IONIQ Electric cars.
