JAKARTA - PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) experienced a significant growth in coal delivery production. From January to December 2019, DEWA's coal production reached 16.94 million tons, an increase of 27.27% compared to 2018. This coal production achievement is still within the target range set by DEWA.
Production at the Bengalon coal mine grew 41.32% to 9.44 million tons. Then, production at the Asam Asam coal mine increased 20.04% to 6.17 million tons. Meanwhile, production at the Satui coal mine at 1.33 million tons.
"With the improvement in mining planning that is supported by improvements and the addition of a number of equipment carried out by the Company, we have succeeded in increasing productivity in the coal mines that we are working on," said DEWA Corporate Secretary Mukson Arif Rosyidi.
Furthermore, DEWA recorded overburden removal or stripping ratio of 119.73 million bcm during 2019, or grew 17.54% compared to the previous year. (LM)
