JAKARTA. PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) plans to open 300 new outlets in 2020, to add to its existing 1,049 outlets.
Djatmiko Wardoyo, Marketing and Communications Director of ERAA, said that the new outlets would be opened in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. "[The new outlets] includes monobrand and multibrand shops. The reason is that the company's sales are only strong in big cities, "Wardoyo was quoted as saying by Bisnis Indonesia on Wednesday (29/1) today.
In 2019, ERAA has opened 159 new outlets. The company chose to open new outlets in several secondary cities such as Kuningan, Garut, Purwakarta, Tuban, and Kudus.
Nevertheless, ERAA does not expect its expansion this year to make its revenue and profit increase significantly. The official distributor of the Xiaomi brand only estimates that its revenue and profit will grow by a single digit. (KR/AR)
