JAKARTA - PT Fajar Surya Wisesa Tbk (FASW) generated Rp 968.83 billion in net profit in 2019, lower than the figure recorded in 2018 (Rp 1.40 trillion). The decline in net profit was mainly caused by the decline in sales.
As quoted from the company's financial statements, as of 31 December 2019, the company's net sales was recorded at Rp 8.25 trillion, lower than the record in 2018 of Rp 9.93 trillion. The decline was caused by the decline in sales to third parties, which fell from Rp 9.47 trillion to Rp 7.63 trillion.
The decline in sales was felt in all of the company's markets, including domestic (Rp 7.37 trillion in 2018 to Rp 6.71 trillion), Asian (Rp 2.20 trillion to Rp 1.53 trillion), Africa (Rp 177.92 billion to Rp 12.79 billion), Middle East (Rp 59.15 billion to Rp 329 million) and others (Rp 121.96 billion to Rp 1.13 billion).
