JAKARTA - PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (BNGA) managed to record Rp 3.65 trillion in consolidated net profit in 2019, 4.68% than the figure recorded in 2018 of Rp 3.48 trillion, although it was less than the 16.17% growth recorded from 2017 (profit of Rp 2.98 trillion) to 2018.
The company's interest income rose slightly, 0.27%, from Rp 18.35 trillion (2018) to Rp 18.40 trillion (2019) and sharia income rose 69.17% from Rp 1.95 trillion (2018) to Rp 3.29 trillion (2019). Furthermore, interest expenses fell 2.84% from Rp 7.26 trillion (2018) to Rp 7.05 trillion (2019) although sharia expenses rose 102.03% from Rp 1.02 trillion (2018) to Rp 2.07 trillion (2019). Hence, net interest and sharia income rose 4.63% from Rp 12.01 trillion (2018) to Rp 12.57 trillion (2019).
Meanwhile, operating expenses rose 7.87%, from Rp 8.00 trillion (2018) to Rp 8.63 trillion (2019). (ARM/AC/AR)
