MNC records Rp 8.06 trillion advertising revenue in 2019

JAKARTA - PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) or MNC posted Rp 8.06 trillion in advertising revenue in 2019, up 11% year on year (yoy). The largest contributor was non-digital advertising with Rp 7.36 trillion.

According to the company's stock exchange filing published on Tuesday (25/2), MNC's total revenue was recorded at Rp 8.35 trillion, up 12% yoy from Rp 7.44 trillion. The largest contributor was advertising with Rp 8.06 trillion, followed by content with Rp 1.74 trillion and others with Rp 113.9 billion.

From the advertising segment, revenue from non-digital advertising rose 6% yoy from Rp 6.98 trillion, followed by digital advertising which soared 167% yoy Rp 261.1 billion. Content revenue increased in line with the increase in production of free-to-air (FTA) drama content and content licensing to third-party platforms.

In addition, MNC also posted Rp 2.35 trillion in net profit in 2019, up 47% yoy from Rp 1.60 trillion. (LK/MS)
