JAKARTA. The Indonesia Stock Exchange recorded that there were 30,000 new Single Investor Identification (SID) in 2020, 9.62% of this year's SID target of 3.12 million.

Hasan Fawzi, Development Director of IDX, said that he believed that the target could be achieved. For information, IDX targets the number of new SID this year to be 20% to 30% higher than the total number of new SID in 2019 (2.6 million).

Fawzi explained that most of the SIDs that had been blocked due to a number of cases on the capital market had been restored. "We believe that the legal process and its sanctions and enforcement will be accompanied by comprehensive improvements in the ecosystem and capital market industry," he explained as reported by Kontan on Tuesday (25/2) yesterday.

In addition, Fawzi assessed that there are still many listed companies on the IDX that are able to provide high returns for investors. Even when compared to other countries, said Fawzi, the capital market yields in Indonesia are still higher. (KR/AR)
