24 March 2020 11:53

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance’s Directorate General of Budget has issued technical directives related to budget revision proposals to handle the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak in the Director-General of Budget’s Regulation No. PER-2/AG/2020.

According to the regulation, budget revision proposals are done through an application system. Several applications are used from the submission stage until the revision completion by the Directorate General of Budget.

In an official statement on the Ministry of Finance’s website, the Directorate General affirms that all ministries and government agencies must prepare supporting documents to propose budget revision, namely a budget revision recommendation letter signed by a Secretary-General/Main Secretary/Secretary/Echelon I Official, computer data archives, a statement letter from a Budget Proxy, a letter of approval from an echelon I official, a letter of approval from the concerned minister/head of agency, and a review letter from the Government Internal Surveillance Agency in each ministry and agency.

“The regulation shortens the revision process from five working days to only two days since the proposal is submitted,” writes the statement. (MS)
