JAKARTA. PT Hero Supermarket Tbk (HERO) adjusted the operational hours of a number of its Hero, Guardian, Starmart and Giant supermarkets to anticipate the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Diky Risbianto, Head of Communications & Government Relations of HERO, said that the step was taken to maintain customers' safety. "Hero Group is committed to serving customers the best we can in difficult times like this [the COVID-19 pandemic]," Risbianto said as reported by Bisnis Indonesia on Wednesday (1/4) today.
A number of supermarkets and outlets managed by the company will operate according to the operating hours of the shopping centres they are located in. For its other outlets, the company will provide services starting at 09.00 WIB until 21.00 WIB.
In addition, HERO has also begun implementing special operational time for elderly customers on Tuesday and Thursday. Elderly customers will be served faster. (KR/AR)
