The number of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia now reaches 1,677

JAKARTA. The government announced that the number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Indonesia has reached 1,677 cases, with the death toll now reaching 157.

Ahmad Yurianto, Spokesperson for COVID-19, said the number of recovered patients increased by 22 people. So that the total number of patients who recovered in Indonesia has reached 103 people.

"While the death toll has increased by 21 people to 157 people," Yurianto said in a press conference today.

Yurianto claimed, the increase in COVID-19 patients in Indonesia was caused by those ignoring the protocol from the government. For example, an appeal to avoid close contact and a number of other appeals. "[Appeal] for washing hands has not been obeyed properly," said Yurianto. (KR/AR)
