JAKARTA - PT Oyo Rooms Indonesia is allocating sanitised hotel rooms for medical personnel on the frontline of the coronavirus (Covid-19) panedemic handling at the Gatot Soebroto Army Central Hospital, Central Jakarta.

"Amid the pandemic, medical personnel are of the most meritorious standing. They work long hours day and night, risking their lives and leaving their families in order to care for patients," said Oyo Hotels and Homes Country Head for Indonesia Alfian Lim in an official statement, Thursday (2/4).

"Thus, Oyo is specially allocating a number of hotel rooms for medical frontliners including doctors, nurses, and other staff members in order to facilitate their accommodation, hygiene, and resting needs during these difficult times."

In response to the initiative, Gatot Soebroto Army Central Hospital General Development Director Col Dr Abraham Arimuko said that the hospital greatly appreciates Oyo's policy for easing the burden of medical personnel, especially with the location adjacent to the hospital.

"The Covid-19 pandemic presents extraordinary circumstances, which require medical personnel to work extra hard on the frontline of the handling... Support for medical personnel is greatly required so that we can focus on doing our tasks," said Dr Arimuko. (MS)
