BukuWarung will try to partner with 60 million shop owners in Indonesia

JAKARTA. BukuWarung, a startup that provides bookkeeping services for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), plans to partner with 60 million shop owners in Indonesia, after receiving funding led by East Ventures.

The funding involved a number of local and international investors. Some of these include AC Ventures, Golden Gate Ventures, Tanglin Venture Partners, and Michael Sampoerna. However, the value of funding is not published.

Abhinay Peddisett, Co-Founder of BukuWarung, admitted that currently, his party has enjoyed a fairly strong business growth momentum. He also claimed that BukuWarung has been used by 250 thousand shop owners. "But that number has not reached 1% of the 60 million shop owners in Indonesia," explained Peddisett through an official statement.

Meanwhile, Wilson Cuaca, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of East Ventures, said that BukuWarung was considered able to execute its business plan quickly. Therefore, he is optimistic that BukuWarung will be able to get more users in Indonesia. "MSMEs are the backbone of Indonesia's economy," Weather explained. (KR/AR)
