JAKARTA - PT Gunawan Dianjaya Steel Tbk (GDST) posted a net profit of Rp 26.8 billion in 2019. This figure increased dramatically compared to the loss suffered by the company in 2018 amounting to Rp 87.79 billion.
Based on Kontan's report, GDST sales increased 19% on an annual basis from Rp 1.55 trillion in 2018 to Rp 1.85 trillion at the end of 2019. The largest contribution to sales came from the local plate segment of Rp 1.69 trillion, the waste segment Rp 123.17 billion, the export plate segment at Rp 31.61 billion and others amounted to Rp 226.6 billion.
Along with the increase in revenue, the company's cost of goods sold also grew 9.64% to Rp 1.7 trillion. The company also managed to book other income of Rp 29.66 billion, therefore the company managed to record a profit at the end of the period of Rp 26.80 billion. (LM)
