Kediri-Kertosono toll road development to start next year

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing will commence the development of the Kediri-Kertosono toll road, which will also serve Nganjuk, Wilangan, and southern Tulungagung in East Java.

“We can start the development in the first half of 2021, and we hope to complete the project by 2023,” said Public Works and Public Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono in a video conference on the development of Kediri Airport, Wednesday (15/4) as quoted by Antara.

Currently the ministry is planning land acquisition for the development of the toll road. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the first half of 2021.

On the same occasion, Agrarian and Spatial Planning Minister Sofyan Djalil said he is committed to facilitating land acquisition in the project.

“I will handle whatever difficulties that might arise in the process,” said Mr Djalil. (MS)
