Oil and gas lifting realization declined by 3.43% YoY in Q1 2020

JAKARTA. The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) recorded that the realization of oil and gas lifting in the first quarter (Q1) of 2020 only reaching 1.75 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd).

The realization did not even reach the national oil and gas lifting target of 1.95 million BOEPD this year, while also 3.43% lower than the lifting in Q1 2019 which reached 1.81 million boepd.

The realization of oil and gas lifting during Q1 2020 consisted of oil lifting (71 thousand barrels per day) and gas lifting (5.86 million standard cubic feet).

Dwi Soetjipto, Head of SKK Migas, said the realization of oil and gas lifting in Q1 this year, was supported by a number of strategies. Starting from the optimization and development of new wells, new onstream projects, and maintenance of oil and gas fields. (KR/AR)
