ITDC appointed as SOE coordinator of national disaster task force in NTB

MATARAM - PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero) or Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), the SOE developer and manager of the tourism destinations of The Nusa Dua, Bali and The Mandalika, NTB, has been appointed by the Ministry of SOEs of the Republic of Indonesia to become the Coordinator of the Task Force Disaster Areas (Satgas) National Disaster of State-Owned Enterprises in NTB Province.

Together with 31 SOEs in the NTB province, ITDC seeks to take rapid action to deal with the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) which has been designated a national disaster based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 of 2020 Regarding Non-Natural Disaster Spread of COVID-19 as National Disaster, valid from 13 April 2020.

Head of Operations Division of The Mandalika Pari Wijaya as the Daily Chair of the National Disaster Task Force Coordinating Team of NTB Province Region explained "We have formed the COVID-19 SOE Response Task Force Post to help local governments and SOEs that work together in facilitating coordination in terms of channeling assistance to the community or implementing activities in the field later," said Pari.

Assistance from 31 SOE companies in NTB will be distributed in stages. The first phase is the assistance of Disposal PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for medical personnel at the Referral Hospital, Reuse PPE for medical personnel at the Puskesmas, cloth masks for the community, and hand washing facilities.
