JAKARTA - PT Bank Mega Tbk (MEGA) managed to book a net profit of Rp 669.39 billion in the first quarter of this year. This figure is up around 38.39% on an annual basis.
The increase in profit was driven by an increase in gain on spot and derivative transactions of Rp 257.25 billion. In the same period last year, this transaction only reached Rp 69.78 billion.
As reported by Kontan, MEGA's net interest income also grew 9.7% yoy to Rp 989.14 billion. The company's credit distribution also rose 23.1% to Rp 53.65 trillion.
For information, Bank Mega managed to book third party funds (DPK) of Rp 76.06 trillion. This achievement grew by 29.13% compared to the first quarter of the previous year amounting to Rp 58.9 trillion. (LM)
