JAKARTA - Assistant Attorney General for Development Bambang Sugeng Rukmono has been appointed as acting Deputy Attorney General to fill the vacancy left by Arminsyah, who died in a car crash on April 4, 2020.
Mr Rukmono’s appointment is stipulated in Warrant No. Print-039/A/JA/04/2020 issued by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin on Monday (27/4).
“To avoid prolonged vacuum and in order to ensure the continuity of the office of the Deputy Attorney General, the Attorney General has issued the aforementioned letter,” Head of the Attorney General’s Office’s Legal Information Centre Hari Setiyono told Antara, Tuesday (28/4).
“The Attorney General’s Warrant is effective immediately after issuance until the appointment of a definitive Deputy Attorney General.”
The acting Deputy Attorney General, said Mr Setiyono, will undertake duties in accordance with the work programme designed by Arminsyah with adjustments amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. (MS)
