JAKARTA - PT Sekar Laut Tbk (SKLT) recorded a 32.92% increase in profit attributable to its parent entity in Q1 2020 amounting to Rp 12.41 billion (Q1/2020).
The increase in net profit can be attributed to the increase the company's revenue, recorded at Rp 329.91 billion, 6.99% higher than its record in Q1 2019 of Rp 308.36 billion. The company also noted a significant change in foreign exchange gain, 675.65%, going from a loss of Rp 343.34 million (Q1/2019) to a profit of Rp 1.98 billion (Q1/2020).
However, the company noted losses in revenue from others, amounting to Rp 2.31 billion (Q1/2020), before obtaining a Rp 129.56 million profit (Q1/2019). Cost of revenue also increased by 2.64% to Rp 245.67 billion (Q1/2020) and operasional costs by 23.43% to Rp 65.50 billion (Q1/2020). (ARM/AC/AR)
