JAKARTA - Due to dozens of employees tested positive for Covid-19, PT HM Sampoerna Tbk. (HMSP) suspends Rungkut 2 factory operations indefinitely starting from 27 April 2020.
Through an official statement, Elvira Lianita, HM Sampoerna Director, mentioned that cigarette and tobacco products will be quarantined beforehand for five days before going to distribution. The grace period was noted two days longer than what was suggested by European CDC and WHO.
HMSP's stock price went down 4.39% to Rp 1,525 this afternoon (4/5) and plummeted 27.14% year-to-date. (ARM/AC)
