The development of PLTGU Jawa-I continues to run despite COVID-19

JAKARTA. PT Pertamina Power Industri, the shareholder of PT Jawa Satu Power (JSP) which manages the Jawa-1 Gas Steam Power Plant (PLTGU) project, made some changes in the construction due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Ermoe Ginting, Managing Director of Pertamina Power Indonesia, said that the company remains optimistic that the PLTGU development can run smoothly amid the COVID-19 pandemic. "Regular temperature checks are done to all workers in the morning and evening, to ensure that workers are fit to work," Ginting explained through an official statement.

For information, PTLGU is a project that will integrate gas and steam power facilities. The plant will be able to produce 1,760 megawatts of electricity.

According to information compiled by idnfinancials.com, JSP shares are currently owned by the Pertamina Power Industri consortium (40%). In addition, the remainder is owned by two corporate groups from Japan,  Marubeni (40%) and Sojitz (20%). (KR/AR)
