JAKARTA. GoJek and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) will provide loan facilities worth Rp 5 million to Rp 20 million with low rate for GoJek's driver partners and GoFood's business partners.

Handayani, Consumer Director of BBRI, said the loan facility will help GoJek's driver partners and GoFood business partners who were affected by the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). "The majority of people have to Work From Home and implement physical distancing, which affect their income [driver and business partners]," Handayani said in a press release.

Nevertheless, Handayani said that her party would be careful in disbursing loans. Therefore, BBRI will conduct an assessment according to the data provided by GoJek.

"So that all partners who take this facility have to meet all minimum requirements such as average monthly income and length of partnership with GoJek," said Handayani.

Meanwhile, Andre Soelistyo, Co-CEO of GoJek, admitted that the company is currently prioritizing assistance for their partners affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, the income of Gojek partners, said Soelistyo, is affected significantly by the pandemic. "This loan facility will help ease their burden in this difficult time," he said. (KR/AR)
