JAKARTA - Insurtech startup PasarPolis has partnered mobile wallet provider Dana to launch two microinsurance products. Through the Dana Siaga feature in the Dana app, users can access micro life insurance and inpatient insurance products starting from Rp 8,000 per month.

According to PasarPolis CTO Nishant Kumar, the need for suitable insurance products becomes even more prominent amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

“Our vision to provide insurance for everyone has proven to be very crucial, especially during these critical times,” Mr Kumar said in an official statement received by IDNFinancials.com, Wednesday (17/6).

Mr Kumar added that PasarPolis’s partnership with Dana is in line with its plan to adopt a business-to-consumer (B2C) approach. Previously, the company emphasised a business-to-business (B2B) approach through collaboration with strategic business partners.

Going forward, Mr Kumar remarked, PasarPolis will continue to innovate by using a dynamic pricing system to offer unique protection tailored to each consumer’s needs. “We want to ensure that technology can always help the public, so that they will be protected in their daily activities,” he concluded.
