JAKARTA - PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) booked a profit of Rp 978.28 billion in the first quarter (Q1) of 2020, 14.62% higher than its record in Q1 2019 (Rp 853.49 billion). The growth in profit was supported by growth in operating revenue and sales.
As quoted from the company's Q1 financial statements published on Monday (22/6), the company recorded sales of Rp 19.90 trillion, 20.15% higher than its record in Q1 2019. The biggest contributor to the company's sales record was fertilizer (Rp 9.61 trillion),
Aside from fertilizer, the company also gained some income from government subsidy (Rp 7.46 trillion), and services (Rp 2.82 trillion). (LK/AR)
