JAKARTA. PT Malindo Feedmill Tbk (MAIN), an animal feed company, resumed the construction of one of its factories in Lampung, after the project was stalled for six years due to land disputes.

The land dispute issue was resolved after the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) dispatched a team to work with a number of authorities. Starting from the Lampung Provincial Government, the National Land Agency, to the Attorney General's Office.

Bahlil Lahadalia, Head of the BKPM, ensured that the land dispute was resolved smoothly. MAIN was also invited to continue the construction of the factory with an investment of Rp 1.1 trillion. "There is no problem about the land. Malindo has continued its investment realization, "Lahadalia said through an official statement.

BKPM is optimistic that the project will increase investment in Lampung. According to BKPM data, the realization of domestic investment in Lampung during the first quarter of 2020 has reached Rp 4.66 trillion. Meanwhile, the realization of foreign investment was around Rp 5.04 trillion. (KR/AR)
