Jokowi: Ease of licensing and competitive land prices in KIB should be prioritized

30 June 2020 15:12

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) requested that ease of licensing and competitive land prices in the Batang Industrial Zone (KIB), Central Java should be prioritized, in order to attract a number of companies that plan to relocate from China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and the United States. Those were some of the points conveyed by Jokowi during the opening of KIB on Tuesday (30/6).

According to Jokowi, KIB is expected to provide more jobs and absorb more workers as investors relocate from a number of countries in Asia. "If the licensing process is difficult, I have ordered the Head of BKPM to take care of it from A to Z, so that investors feel that they are really taken care of. This is very important," he said, as quoted from Setkab.go.id page.

President Joko Widodo has asked a number of potential investors regarding the location and their land requirements, and investors who need more land are directed to MNH. (LK/AR)
