JAKARTA. Traveloka is rumored to be receiving funding of around US$ 250 million or around Rp 3.6 trillion, which will make its valuation decline to US$ 2.75 billion or around Rp 38.98 trillion.
There are a number of potential strategic investors who are rumored to be involved in Traveloka's latest funding, according to an anonymous source quoted by Bloomberg. Some of these include Siam Commercial bank Pcl, FWD Group Ltd., CIC Pte., and East Ventures.
Traveloka's management is still reluctant to clarify the news.
For information, the valuation of Traveloka is estimated to have reached US$ 3.3 billion since it was first established in 2012. This means that with the new funding, Traveloka's valuation may decline by around 17%. (KR/AR)
