JAKARTA. PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) finally recorded 340.65% growth in its car sales in June 2020, after experiencing successive decline in the last two months.
Boy Kelana Soebroto, ASII's Head of Corporate Communications, said this was a positive signal for the company's sales performance. "We hope that this will continue, so we can help support national economic growth," said Soebroto to idnfinancials.com.
From the data received at idnfinancials.com, ASII sold 4,856 cars in June 2020. Much higher than its record in April (2,804 units) and May (1,102 units).
Sales of Toyota cars contributed most of the company's sales in June 2020 (3,775 units), followed by Isuzu (693 units), Daihatsu (331 units), UD Trucks (40 units), and Peugeot (17 units).
In June 2020, ASII's national market share increased from 31% to 38%. (KR/AR)
