JAKARTA - PT Industri Jamu and Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO) recorded growth in sales and profit in the first half of 2020, due to the increasing demand for herbal products during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As quoted from the company's financial statements which was published on Tuesday (21/7), the company's sales were recorded at Rp 1.45 trillion, higher than its record in 1H 2019 of Rp 1.41 trillion. The biggest contributor to the company's sales came from herbal medicines and supplements (Rp 923.19 billion), followed by food and beverages (Rp 469.16 billion), and pharmaceutical products (Rp 67.35 billion).
In addition, SIDO recorded a gross profit of Rp 781.31 billion, operating profit of Rp 507.60 billion and profit of Rp 413.79 billion. (LK/AR)
